Brake Operator A - Second Shift
POSITION SUMMARY
Run / bend parts on brake press to meet blueprint specifications, keeping up with production schedules and meeting quality requirements. Set-up procedures on simple to moderately complex part runs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Bend parts utilizing brake equipment, assuring quality and productivity.
- Spot-check quality of work by periodically using measuring equipment and visual inspection.
- May begin to learn set-up procedures on simple to moderately complex parts.
- Keep up with traveler and paperwork flow by logging number of parts run to specification.
- Responsible to know and enforce all safety rules and regulations. Provide suggestions for improvement to safety and quality as they are identified.
- Follow all safety rules and remain safety conscious at all times.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform miscellaneous duties as the job requires or as assigned by management.
- Help in other departments as needed.
SUBORDINATE STAFF
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma, Equivalency (GED), or equivalent work experience required.
- 2 or more years experience as brake press operator required; Amada R-G 80 and Amada FAB III 8025 experience preferred.
TRAINING REQUIRED
- ISO-9000 Implementation
- CNC Programming
- OSHA Compliance
- Departmental training as required
SKILLS
- Ability to understand and follow all instructions given.
- Fill out required paperwork.
- Familiarity with reading / interpreting blueprints.
- Advanced knowledge of brake press operations.
- Familiarity with the use dial calipers, square and various measuring equipment.

Turret Operator A- Second Shift
POSITION SUMMARY
Set-up and operate turret machines as required to produce various hole patterns in metal to meet production schedule in order to produce sheet metal parts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Set up turret in press with punch and die according to prints, shim or adjust for correct depth as required.
- Position work holder clamps in proper location according to blueprint.
- Check product for 100% quality.
- Installs and changes out dies as required. Pulls punches and dies from turret and sharpens on grinder as needed to eliminate burrs on the final product.
- Keep up with traveler and paperwork flow by logging correct number of parts run to specifications.
- Work with the quality department to assure all parts are being run to specification.
- Monitors operation of the turret and reports any maintenance needs to management. May perform some minor maintenance tasks on the machines.
- May assist in the training of less experience operators.
- Responsible to know and enforce all Company and Safety rules and regulations, providing suggestions
for improvement to quality and safety as they are identified.

- 2 or more years experience operating a turret punch press required, Amada Vipros 3610 and Amada Vipros 357 Queen experience preferred.

SKILLS
- Familiar with various models of turret punch presses.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Be able to accurately complete all required daily paperwork.
- Have an understanding of CNC programming.
- Ability to understand and follow all instructions given.
- Possess good interpersonal, communication, and training skills.
- Ability to effectively use and read precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
